Posted December 07, 2018 07:18:31A little-known story from New Jersey could be the reason the East Villages neighborhood in East New York, a city that has struggled with gentrification and crime, remains so dangerous.
New Jersey resident John “John” O’Brien shot his wife, Kristy, to death on July 28, 2018, according to a criminal complaint unsealed in federal court in Camden, New Jersey.
The FBI said that O’Briens ex-wife, Michelle O’Reilly, told police O’Connor had threatened her and that he “felt threatened by the two of them, and that she had left him.”
O’Brien’s former wife told authorities that O ‘Brios ex-husband, Robert, shot her dead in her bedroom in August 2018, while O’Leary was in jail.
O’Donnell and O’Kelly have been married for 14 years, according a police affidavit.
O’Reilly had reportedly been “troubled by mental health issues” and had previously “been threatened by O’ Brios ex wife” and was “a violent person who had attempted to kill herself and his wife,” according to the affidavit.
O’BRIOS wife had previously told investigators that she and O Brios former girlfriend, Jennifer Kelly, were “tired of his threats against her, and he was very violent,” according the affidavit, adding that O Brias ex-girlfriend had previously reported him to authorities and O Brien had been placed on suicide watch.
Police interviewed O’ Reilly on July 29, 2018 and O O’ Brien was “trying to justify the actions of his ex-partner” and OReilly “refused to speak to police” about the killing, according the FBI affidavit.
After a two-week FBI investigation, O’ OBrien was charged with first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
In an interview with ABC News, O Briosi said he was upset that his ex would not talk to police about her alleged threats, and “felt like I had been shot at.
It was just like a random, I guess, death.”
According to a court filing, O O Briisi told the FBI he and O Reilly were engaged in an argument about a recent divorce and the couple’s new apartment.
O Briiss reported that he was “angry and frustrated” with his ex and had “had a lot of problems,” including a “hate-filled online post” that included the words “kill me,” “shoot me” and “you fucking bitch.”
O Briisi also told the federal agents that he had been in and out of mental hospitals and said that he felt “threatened and terrified” by the FBI investigation.
O Briiss told ABC News that he and his ex had a child together and that their marriage was “very good.”
He said he had a job, but he was fired for “having no interest in the job” and he felt like he had “no control over him,” according with the affidavit filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New Jersey in Camden.
O O Oriiss said he “didn’t want to have any children,” and “had to go on disability for the rest of his life.”
According the complaint, O Briiss also told FBI agents that O Reilly was a “sexual predator” who “wasn’t interested in marriage.”
“He wanted me to commit suicide,” O’Oriiss told the agents.
O Reilly told investigators he “would have been fine” if he was still married, but “he felt that his marriage was no longer working.”
O Oriis ex-wives alleged that O OBrien had harassed them and threatened to kill them, according with a criminal investigation filed in federal courts in Camden and Trenton.
OOriis former wife said she had been physically and verbally assaulted by O O Brieis ex wife.
O Brianis wife told investigators O O I Briis ex husband “has threatened to take his gun and shoot her in the face.”
O Briis wife said that she “didn’ know how to react” and that O B I OBrien threatened to “shoot” her if she left him, according.
According to O OIriiss, O I B I, “has a history of stalking, domestic violence, and sexual harassment.”
He told investigators his ex was “shocked and confused by his violent behavior.”
O Oris ex-wives told investigators they were “struggling to come to terms with O I O B i s violent behavior and his inability to accept responsibility for his behavior.”
The FBI told ABCnews.com that it was not investigating O Orellis actions, and the matter has been forwarded to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
O Brien is set to be sentenced in February
